Insider trading prohibition and surveillance

The Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations make trading on material nonpublic information illegal. The same framework that governs securities trading applies here. Government employees are specifically prohibited from trading on information they obtain in their official capacity.

Beyond the legal prohibition, regulated platforms run continuous surveillance systems custom-built for prediction market activity, and they work with independent market integrity firms to detect abuse. When a regulated U.S. platform discovers a problem, it acts — including unwinding contracts at the platform's own expense, as happened with the Iran leadership change contract.

Age Controls

Strict age verification is mandatory across all U.S. regulated platforms. Participation is legally restricted to adults, with an average user age of 33, ensuring a mature market ecosystem.

Anti-money-laundering and financial controls

Compliance
